I’m thrilled to share a little milestone with you – I’ve just opened the virtual doors to my brand new online shop: shop.littleworldworkshop.uk!
If you’ve been following my model-making journey for a while, you’ll know I set up the sister site for MRE last year to showcase my models and have been selling my hand-crafted pieces on eBay for some time now.
It’s been a great way to get my models into the hands of fellow enthusiasts, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. But I’ve also been dreaming of something a bit more personal – a space that reflects the spirit of Little World Workshop, where I can showcase my favourite builds and connect more directly with you, the people who appreciate this hobby as much as I do.
What’s in the Shop?
The shop is home to a growing collection of premium, hand-finished models – perfect for model railways, dioramas, fantasy scenes or tabletop wargames. These are the same lovingly crafted pieces I’ve been sharing on social media and eBay, only now they’ve got a proper home of their own.
Each model is made by hand, in small batches (or sometimes as complete one-offs), with attention to detail and character at the heart of everything I build. Whether it’s a crumbling stone ruin, a windswept hillside hut, or a moody bit of trackside terrain, every item is something I’d be proud to display in my own layout.

By setting up my own shop, I’m able to skip the marketplace fees that places like eBay charge – and that means I can pass those savings directly onto you. So not only do you get the same high-quality, hand-crafted models, but often at a lower price than you’d find elsewhere.
Plus, it gives me more freedom to offer special pieces, try out new ideas, and even experiment with bundles or limited runs of unique models – all without having to fight with listing algorithms or fee structures. It’s just me, my workshop, and a growing shelf of tiny worlds waiting to find a home.

Andy is a lifelong modeller, writer, and founder of modelrailwayengineer.com and its sister site. He has been building model railways, dioramas, and miniatures for over 30 years. His passion for model making and railways began when he was a child, building his first layout at the age of seven.
Andy’s particular passion is making scenery and structures in 4mm scale, which he sells commercially. He is particularly interested in modelling the railways of South West England during the late Victorian era, although he also enjoys making sci-fi and fantasy figures and dioramas.
