ModelRailwayEngineer’s Values

Word Cloud of MRE Values

At the core of MRE’s mission are a set of values that define its approach, and I am committed to upholding them in every aspect of MRE.  The ModelRailwayEngineer.com values are:

Passionate and fun

I believe that passion is what makes our hobby so special and the pleasure we get from our models is what makes it all worthwhile.

It’s what inspires us to spend countless hours building, tinkering, and refining our models.

And it’s what brings us together as a community of like-minded individuals who share a deep love and appreciation for the art and craft of model railways.

At MRE, I strive to be passionate, positive and optimistic about our hobby, creating fun guides and content that hobbyists look forward to.

Creative & Imaginative

Creativity and imagination are at the heart of what we do and is another core value that I embrace. I believe in the power of creativity to inspire, challenge, and delight. When we approach our hobby with a creative mindset, we can unlock new ideas, find innovative solutions to problems, and create railway models and miniature works that delight and are fun to build and operate and bring our models to life in ways that we never thought possible.

At MRE, I am continually seeking new, creative and inventive ways to make miniature worlds and ways to share these with the MRE community.

Innovative

Innovation is essential to progress and growth in any field, and the world of model railways is no exception. As a fellow hobbyist, I believe in the power of innovation to push the boundaries of what we can achieve. Whether it’s trying out new tools or materials, experimenting with new techniques, or exploring new themes and ideas, innovation is what keeps our hobby fresh, exciting, and relevant.

At MRE I continually develop its technology to grow MRE, make it more useful to hobbyists and share new tools, technologies and techniques to build models with the MRE community.

Learning and collaborative

By working together and sharing knowledge, skills, and experiences, hobbyists can inspire each other, learn from one another, and create remarkable models and layouts.

There is always something new to discover in the world of model railways, and through learning and sharing we can become more skilled, knowledgeable, and inspired to take our creations to the next level.

At MRE, I encourage learning and openly share the guides, techniques and tips and I welcome opportunities to work with enthusiasts and businesses in our industry. (If you’re a business and would like to work with me, check out my work with me page).

Inclusive, honest, transparent

At MRE, I aim to welcome and treat everyone equally regardless of their background or abilities and demonstrate transparency and honesty in what I do and why. I won’t always get things right, making mistakes is a key part of learning, but when I do get things wrong I’ll say so and try to make things right.

Summary

These are the values that I cherish at ModelRailwayEngineer, and I hope that they inspire and guide you on your own journey as a model railway enthusiast.
