On this site, you’ll find hundreds of articles and videos covering every aspect of model railway building: from making baseboards to planning and track laying to electrics to scenery and model making. If it’s involved in making model railways I cover it.

Just browse the site using the menu or the search function at the top of this page.

It’s all free!

Yes, honestly! No tricks.

I can do this because I set up the site to share my passion for model railways and have a full-time job so don’t need to generate an income from the site. Over the last five years, it’s grown to become the UK’s biggest model railway blog and has won multiple awards but it still remains free and I continue to run it in my spare time.

It’s a labour of love.

I do make a small amount of money from commission fees when visitors buy things from Amazon, eBay having clicked on links on the site. The prices to you don’t change but I get a small commission from them and this contributes to the cost of running the site and helps fund my own model trains.
