Hatton’s Model Railways moves from Smithdown Road after 70 years

Hatton’s Model Railways has moved from Smithdown Road, Liverpool, after 70 years. The famous model railway shop has relocated to bigger premises in Widnes.

Founder Norman Hatton originally started his business 1946, selling everything from firewood to bric-a-brac at 182 Smithdown but later moving to a larger store at 364. It wasn’t until the mid-1950s that it became a specialist model train shop.
