Hatton’s Model Railways has moved from Smithdown Road, Liverpool, after 70 years. The famous model railway shop has relocated to bigger premises in Widnes.
Founder Norman Hatton originally started his business 1946, selling everything from firewood to bric-a-brac at 182 Smithdown but later moving to a larger store at 364. It wasn’t until the mid-1950s that it became a specialist model train shop.
But the original iconic shop was showing it’s age and the company has now moved to bigger premises that will better allow it to support increasing online sales.
